Dr. Dog has the biggest crowd I’ve ever seen for them.
I’ve listened to a little bit of Foals, and heard a lot about them coming from other people, but I’ve never really sat down and listened to them, so what better way than to experience them than at a festival! They were great.
The plan was to go see MGMT but it was so damn crowded that it was nixed, and decided to go see Devotchka instead. It wasn’t really a let down as Devotchka was a great as the last time I saw them.
Up next was the highlight of my day, Explosions in the Sky. They played Your Hand In Mine, which I didn’t hear the last time I saw them so that alone made it a great day.
After some food, I got to hear the stylings of Battles, who were excellent. Crazy, crazy drummer.
After this, I didn’t take any more pictures. The crowds gathering around were far too large, and I didn’t have much energy to fight them. I do however feel that a chapter from my teen years is now closed after hearing The Toadies perform Possum Kingdom live.
