So excited about Lollapalooza in a few days. I’ve already got a schedule mapped out, and my previous post from the Wolf Parade concert was a great test run of the new Wordpress on iPhone application. If all goes well and my battery does not die on my during the days, I should be live blogging straight from Grant Park in true geek form.
In the spirit of the festival, this week’s mixtape has artists from the festival that I should be seeing barring natural disaster.
Girl Talk - Set It Off
Yeasayer - 2080
Toadies - Possum Kingdom
Wilco - Jesus, Etc.
Iron & Wine - Jezebel
Nine Inch Nails - Hurt
Brazilian Girls - Don’t Stop
Black Kids - Partie Traumatic
Broken Social Scene - KC Accidental
Office - Wound Up
Radiohead - Street Spirit [Fade Out]
Does It Offend You, Yeah? - Epic Last Song
A mixtape full of sick beats and phat grooves and some other hackneyed vernacular referring to the indietronica scene and the remixing of the indietronica scene. I’m really just making up words right now since it’s so late. (Early?)
Justice - D.A.N.C.E. (MSTRKRFT Remix)
Metric - Monster Hospital (MSTRKRFT Mix)
Bee Gees - Stayin’ Alive (Teddybears Remix)
Ratatat - Wildcat (E*vax Remix)
Cut Copy - Lights & Music (Moulinex Remix)
Beck - Ghettochip Malfunction (Hell Yes) [8bit Remix]
Crystal Castles - Crimewave (Lazrtag Remix)
Ladytron - Weekend (James Iha Mix)
VHS Or Beta - Night On Fire (Cut Copy Remix)
MGMT - Kids (tyler fedchuk edit)
Muse - Map Of The Problematique (Does It Offend You, Yeah? Remix)
Air - Cherry Blossom Girl (Simian Mobile Disco Mix)
In other awesome related news, you can now go into the settings for muxtape and your listening to my mix will then be scrobbled to your last.fm profile! Everyone will know that you listened to a remix of a Bee Gees song! Honestly, if a song you listened to isn’t scrobbled to your last.fm, did you really listen to it? Are you sure? It’s very similar to the tree falling in the woods, but no one to hear it type situation.
